Critic, curator, third-grade professor and doctoral supervisor at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Currently, he serves as the director of the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chongqing; an academic commissioner of China Critics' Annual Conference; a member of the Chinese Theory and Curatorial Committee; a council member of the China Sculpture Society; a council member of the China Oil Painting Society; director of the Chongqing Theory and Curatorial Committee; Vice President of the Chongqing Sculpture Institute; Vice President of the Chongqing Literary and Art Critics Association. He also leads the national first-level discipline in Fine Arts at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the first-class discipline in Art Theory in Chongqing. His research fields include Chinese contemporary art trends, art criticism and exhibition planning, European and American contemporary art theory, etc. He has published more than 70 critical articles with a total of 500,000 words in domestic academic journals such as Literature & Art Studies, Art Research, and Art Observation. Since 2008, he has published and edited 17 books, such as Towards Post-Abstraction (2008), The End of Formalist Criticism (2009), Start From The Horizon —Chinese Contemporary Sculpture Since 1978 (2011), The “Landscape Narration ”In Chinese Contemporary Painting As Well As Its Cultural Concept Changes (2014), The Decline of the Avant-garde (2015), Social Theater: Participation and Sharing (Associate Editor, 2017), and Splendent Galaxy — Chinese Modern Art in Chongqing (1937-1949) (Editor, 2024). In recent years, he has curated more than 30 contemporary art exhibitions, such as Start From The Horizon —Chinese Contemporary Sculpture Since 1978 , The “Landscape Narration”In Chinese Contemporary Painting, “By the Name of Dailiness”: Daily Discourse and Generation of ldeas in Chinese Contemporary Art, "Utopia of Form ", "China Ink Hongkong Narrative" — Special Exhibition of the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR, and "Social Theater" — The 4th Chongqing Biennale for Young Artists. He has also curated some international exhibitions such as "Zeitströme und Näherungen," Aktuelle Malerei und Skulptur aus China,"Dimensions of Civilization" - Exhibition of Contemporary Art Exchange between China and Italy and Academic Exchange Program for the China-Italy Year of Culture and Tourism, and “Exposition” d'art France-Chine. He has participated in the planning of many biennials such as Chengdu Biennale, Chongqing Biennale for Young Artists, and Datong International Sculpture Biennale. In 2023, he won one National Excellent Exhibition Award from China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and one Special Prize for Major Exhibitions in Chongqing.
