The exhibition brings together artists whose works, diverse in technique and scale, engage in a dialogue about the nature of art. Vasily Selivanov continues the tradition of monumental classicism, affirming the strength and will of form. Alexandra Khudyakova transforms the authorial doll into a "sub-sculpture," where the miniature becomes a vessel for myths and stories. Andrei Drozdov creates fantastical worlds, blending animalistic and anthropomorphic forms in his sculptures. Also featured are works by Alexander Boguslavsky, who works with ambrotype using the wet collodion process (1851). His practice explores the tension between authorial intent and the autonomy of matter. Across all his subjects, from ballet choreography to floral still lifes and the abstract compositions of the "Portals" series, figure, light, and matter are treated as substances of the same physical nature. The body in his works exists as matter, in the same sense as silver and light.
